Help with Senior Care in the US

Retirement Communities

Retirement communities are also referred to as Senior Independent Living or Senior Living, and are designed to be caring communities for reasonably active and independent seniors in their retirement years.  Some retirement communities may impose age restrictions, only accepting residents aged 55 years and older.

Living in a retirement community usually means that you have your own condominium or apartment as part of a designated and specially built community construction.  Retirement communities often feature such things as swimming pools, golf courses and hiking trails.  They may run regular health and fitness activities, and general interest clubs for those in their senior years.

The costs for living in a retirement community can vary considerably, but are usually anything between $1000 and $4000 per month.
