As we now have a rapidly expanding senior population, many of which, wish to “age in place”, and stay in their home as they get elderly, we are seeing more Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORC) coming into being in Illinois. A NORC is where people over 60 are the majority, they haven’t moved there especially as they retire, these communities have just organically developed.
